Is $50 enough to begin with for a BR? Assuming I play micro limits and cheaper tourneys (mainly $1 MTT/STT and a $5 here and there) is $50 okay to start with or is it too low? Site will be PokerStars, opinions?
Did you know that participating in a poker forum can help you improve your own game? Be it by sharing experiences or simply asking for help, participation in a forum helps you focus and keep 'on topic' which will help you improve your game. You can learn from other players feedback and from their experiences. Why the THP poker forums? We offer one of the best managed texas holdem poker forums available, and the community within is far more friendly than those typicaly found on other sites. We've made a 'lurkers edition' of the poker forum available here on Holdem Poker Online, but we encourage all visitors to register and join in on the conversations on TexasHoldem-Poker.com

If you go broke are you able to reload?

Dont quote me, but I believe the rule is to have a starting bankroll of at least 20 the STT tourney buyins (and 50 the bb in cash games?). Bankroll management of MTT, look at payout structures and adjust accordingly (typical STT pays top 3, 30% paid. MTTs typically range from top 5% to 12% from my experience).
If you're looking to steadily manage and build the bankroll, pick a buyin and format (mtt or stt) and stick to it until your roll meets quota for your next level. If your roll breaks too far, step back a level and rebuild.
Each level you increase, assume level of play increases as well. 1 dollar tourneys should be a snap, 5's as well.

The $1 are 45-person at Stars...still easy to beat in your opinion?
And should I stay at $1 (and cash games) until I hit $100 and move to $5? Would playing some $5 now be beneficial or better to just wait? (ie. play mostly $1 but maybe a $5 here and there especially after some profit from the $1 games)

The last time I played a $1 45 person SnG was when I first deposited online, around a year ago. From what I remember the play is weak.
You should be fine with having 20 full buy-ins cash games and SnGs. So you would need $120 to play $5 SnGs (20 x $5.50).

Yes, the play is weak and it is a good way to build your bankroll.
I'd just like to add (just incase) that "20 full buy-ins" for cash games apply to NL. When referring to FL, the general rule is 300 BB (which is now big bets instead of big blinds.)
Good luck.

for a NL cash game what's the general definition a full buy-in (in terms of number X BB)?

NL cash game max buyin = 100 x BB.
