I recently started to slow play trips, though dangers I manage to get loads more cash out. I only do it if there is no real draw on board. But since he slow played his two pairs, and you were last to act - you got lucky. You actually found someone with a hand in this.

btw, I do not like the comment. Again, it seems to work but usually when you make any kind of a comment in a betting situation it provide a read about you.

All in all - dream flop and what a nice quad turn.

Nice.

I don't like playing the T8o preflop.

810o is a trouble hand from most any position. Drop it before it drops you and your chip stack.

Says the man who limped UTG with a Q3. Laughing

On the button I have no problem playing a T8, or many other allegedly "junk" hands, especially short-handed.

Very nice betting your trips right off the bat. And VERY nice with the oversize bet with the nuts on the river. Most players make a piddly little "value" bet here. And many times, the move with the most EV is to just shove in all your chips, especially if you put your man on an Ace. What guy is going to lay down an ace here the way the hand was played?

Since he was calling before the last 8 came I don't think it mattered.

Nicely done. This is why you bet the whole way when this type of hand comes up. It would be very hard to fold an A at this point in the hand for the villian. Say you check-raised the flop then bet the turn, now he puts you on that 8 and hes going to have a hard time getting his whole stack into it when the 3rd 8 falls on the river.

Don't say things during the hand.
