what do i do?

(no limit holdem heads up poker)
to make a long story short, it was a long night of 6 players which i ended up bein one of the final two. me and my cousin brandon are pretty much dead even on chips, 10 games pass and i managed to take the lead, id say covering atleast 3/4ths of the total chips. i bluffed most of the games by raising preflop and making him fold and/or reraising his smal raise to make him believe i have something even better. but after the 10 games, he began catching onto my strat. he began folding everything unless he has good cards. he would fold before i could even bet and bluff which would give me the blinds which isnt much money.
so i thought "hey, atleast im winning, i should continue what im doing" so he began playing the fishing game. where he would check throughout the preflop, flop, turn and i would usually BET A LARGE AMOUNT ON THE RIVER or TURN and he would call me which would end up me losing.
so i began playing more cautions and start to bluff less.
but at this time he began taking my chips slowly. about 25 games has passed now and now my cousin brandon is starting to bluff. what makes it difficult for me is now that i was playing more cautions (afraid of the fishing game) and hes bluffing more its hard for me to read him. the tides has turned where i would turn up to be the hunted while he is the hunter.
i didnt know what to do but played it safe and stop bluffing. i tried to bluff a couple times but he would do what i do, reraise my call which made me think he had good cards since he was playing the fishing game.
i ended up losing the game after a total of 40 games.
what could've i done to win this battle?

Well, you've spoken of a lot of different aspects in your post, however it is really unorganized so I will try my best to field a few of your questions.

Frist thing though, by "games", I assume you mean hands - there is a difference, but no big deal.

You spoke about how when you were bluffing a lot you were winning a lot - that is because agression is a key factor to heads up strategy. While playing heads up, if you flop a pair it is considered to be decently strong because odds say that your opponent has missed his cards. Heads up is more about playing the player than it is about playing your cards.

You mention that at one point you had about 3/4 of the chips. Use this to your advantage. Stack size is a strong weapon in heads up poker. Use it to become even more agressive and strike fear into your opponent.

I don't understand this. Now from what I gather, first, you say he was checking preflop, which is only possible if you we're limping or 'completing' from the SB. But I thought you were playing agressively?

Next you say your brother was checking on the flop and turn. Same thing applies.

You can prevent this large bet on the river by betting the other streets.

I hope this helps, but unless you organize your thoughts into a better written paragraph, it's sort of hard to answer a post like this.

im sorry, i was in a rush to leave from work when i wrote this. and please excuse the bad grammer, english is my second language. anyways,

yes, by games i mean hands.
heads up - playing the player not playing your cards. thats probably the best poker quote i heard.

what i meant here was that, my opponent call his blinds and check throughout the whole game play. i was playing agressive at start untill he scared me after a couple games of catching me on tha bluff. i started to play more safer where i wouldnt bluff as much.
most of the games after this point we would usually check preflop, flop, and once in awhile the turn aswell. it wouldnt be until the river where he would check or i would bet a large amount and he would raise me all in or practically the pot size. it was very frustrating.
