I was going to respond to another thread in regards to random numbers, and state how I would approach dealing with the randoms during play. A voice in my head said "why select as needed, save resources and time by selecting from the array of possible shuffles and just play through the index". Eh thats what developers do: they have multiple approaches to an issue and shoot down to the best one. Anyways, I rapidly dismissed this because it doesnt take a genius to realize the volume of possible deck orders....
But for giggles, I went ahead and calculated just how many possible 52 card orders there are. Even more than I would have thought to tell the truth. I'll do the whole 'answer in white' thing below.
Answer below this line.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
80,658,175,170,943,900,790,877,417,582,865,091,327,132,843,802,887,042,428,938,378,805,248
No, I didnt bother calculating what the total weight would be of cataloging them all. Just cant be reasonably done for a public application. Maybe in another 10, 20, 30 years. lol

Isn't it...
52 x 51 x 50 x 49 x 48 ... 3 x 2 x 1
...that does look like a lot.
I doubt the shuffling overhead is that much though, compared to some things modern CPUs have to handle, like 3D games.
