Did you know that participating in a poker forum can help you improve your own game? Be it by sharing experiences or simply asking for help, participation in a forum helps you focus and keep 'on topic' which will help you improve your game. You can learn from other players feedback and from their experiences. Why the THP poker forums? We offer one of the best managed texas holdem poker forums available, and the community within is far more friendly than those typicaly found on other sites. We've made a 'lurkers edition' of the poker forum available here on Holdem Poker Online, but we encourage all visitors to register and join in on the conversations on TexasHoldem-Poker.com

I did the same in stud when I made a straight when drawing for something else... Folded, then thought: "Wait a second..."

Oh man i love that. Thankfully i havent been a victim of it, but i have been on the good side of it.
on the board is a k q j 10 no flush draws.
Just to hope to God the person folds i just threw out a small bet, he checks his cards, and goes... 'ehh' and folds.
Plus, a guy went all in on me when he though he had a straight, when all he had was -- 8 9 j q k.
And this weekend im going to play in a small tourney at someone's house where just told me that the night before him and his friend (both playing in the game) are going to an all night party. I hope this works for me.
