Ok... so me and my friend have been disputing on what is getting two to one on your money...

eg. is it when there is 10 in pot and you have to call 10? oR

is it when there is 20 in pot and u g2 call 10?

EDIT: ok on top of that i have another question... lets say your shortstack and its headsup... so u look at your whole cards and discover nothing but trash... however you calculate the pot odds and you realize your getting two to 1 on your money... do you assume your live and go all every single time... because even if you have 2 unders ur still at about 35% win and because you are getting 2-1 on your money do u call everytime??

2 to 1 is exactly that.

You are calling one, to get a potential 2.

So in your example 2-1 on your money, there is 20 in the pot (inc his bet) and the bet stands to you for 10.

So there is 20 in the pot and its 10 to call, giving you 2-1 on your money.

It pretty much depends how short stacked compared to the blinds. and how much of a chiplead he has over you.

Basically, if he has a monster lead over you, and the blinds are big, you have to push a lot more hands, and the correct move will usually be to push or fold.

If he only has a 2-1 chiplead though, then a double up will get you right back into it, so you should be more cautious.

It also depends if he is raising, or if you are on the SB and him the BB. I am much more likely to push being in the SB than being in the BB, because he hasn't had a chance to act, so according to you, he has a random hand, so any statistically above average hand I will push.

That said, if there is still a lot of play left then you have to play completly different.

My HU game though pretty much sucks tournament wise, I have never done any reading on it.

play HU in a tourney you almost need to ignore the odds.

So what if the odds are in favor of the call, you are still 65% to lose. if you lose once, doesn't matter how good your odds were, you're out.

but dats what im saying your getting the price as long as ur odds to win are better than 33% should u CALL every time??/ and this is not a HU tourney it just became HU in a w/e table
