Question for you guys. I'm in an EP w/ JJ, raise it up like 5-6xBB (early in tourney, need to raise higher than usual) and get 1 caller from the BB.
Flop comes 68Q rainbow and he bets 150 into a pot of about 400-450. I raise him, raising to 400 and after a while he calls. Turn is an A and he checks to me. Here is where my wonderment comes in. Does his check scream slowplay, as he called 2 of my raises and even bet himself? I ended up betting 500 here and getting raised All-in. I pretty much knew I was beat and laid it down but I'm wondering, should I have just taken the free card on the turn and assessed my situation depending on his river play?

I wouldm it's so early you don't need to busto with a hand like JJ. Take the freecard.

Definite check here. If he didn't have you on the flop he probably does on the turn. Hope to spike a river J.

I would check the hand down. I say hes holding KQ or QJ or QTs. He bet into you on the flop and you got called on a raise by what is likely not to be a block bet. I think it's for value given the preflop action. You made the right call by raising. I bet hes wondering if hes up against AQ.

Yeh, I bet but right after I did (before he raised me) I knew it was probably a mistake and I should've taken the free card on the turn at least. I should've known that I was probably beat on the flop, if not almost certainly on the turn and even if I wasn't I surely wouldn't want to risk my stack to find out there.
