Last nights casino tourny |

PLayed the 20 dollar rebuy tourny at the casino last night. 91 people and it gets down to 3 tables. IM pretty short stack but there is about 3 people at my table that are around were im at. I have 1400 in chips and have only played 4 hands the entire tourny. Everyone was a all in after the flop and my hands held up. Finally I get King  Jack and im first to act preflop. Well thinking these are the best cards I have seen in over a hour i push all in since blinds are 200/400.
Well the chip leader at our table is some lady who everyone seams extremelly pissed at. The guy next to me said she sucked out like 3 monster pots to make her chip leader and everyone is salty at her. She is deciding for like 5 minutes to either call me or not. She calls and flips over 9  8 . She hits her 9 on the flop but I river my King  .
Ok now im sitting alot better then I was and getting very close to the money. No longer then 2 hands later I get rockets, YAY about freaking time. The only other time I had aces this tourney the dealer miss dealed and I had to give them up DOH. Well anyways im on the big blind and last to act. The guy first to act bumbs it up to 1500, the lady bumbs it up to 3000. Ok now its on me, im thinking wow. I look at the lady and just say thank you and push all in. Now its on the guy who first raised, he calls.

Now this is when i get alittle worried cause the nightmare flop comes

Im thinking o sh1t cause there is alot of cards that can beat me. Of course what comes on the turn a king, gives the guy with jacks a straight and he wins the pot and im out. DOH
The reason i posted this was there was a heated arguement about pushing preflop with aces when alot of callers. Not sure what you should always do but my experience sucked and was 5 peeps away from the money.

In the hand you describe you were a about a 7:3 favorite before the flop. With only two others in the pot, one who just might fold to a push, IMO this is any easy push, close to the money or not. You just got unlucky.

I like the all-in play with aces, especially with 2 showing strength preflop. If you lose, you lose. You're maximizing a pot that statistically you have the best chance to win.

You pretty much HAVE to push with aces pre-flop if there's anyone someone will call you.
