I am starting to get worried about my game. I can usually hold my own for a while with a little bit of variance up and down. But invariably a big hand will come along that I completely misread. Sometimes I win and sometimes I will lose (more often.) My question is this. The only time I really seem to make the BIG wins is when I suck out on someone and double up. Anytime I have the big starting hands I either lose big or win a little.
Is this normal? I can't continue to survive by hitting my two or three outer on the river.

What hands are you speaking of? When you say big hands, do you mean like AA and KK? Often these hands aren't easy to make big money off of in a cash game, because often you have to protect your hand and take the pot early, resulting in a small pot. There will be times when you can get someone to push and you'll make a big pot, but it doesn't happen everytime.
In cash games you big payoffs come from hands that develop on or after the flop (ie. nut flushes, concealed straights, full houses, etc.) I think you first need to see how/why you're losing big pots with good hands, presumably you're misplaying them if you're losing money often. AA, KK, etc. often result in smaller pots won if you opponents hold trash but winning a lot of small pots adds up over time, so first you should try and correct your losses and then look for ways to improve your chances at making big pots. For example, do you exclusively play premium hands? If so, you may want to begin playing some other PPs and suited connectors from LP as these hands are often going to pay you off with a monster pot more so that AA, KK, etc.
Just my thoughts, I'm sure someone else can offer some better insight.

Soup...buddy...first define suckout please.... . If your having trouble with your game, as I have been for the last few days, then you need to set back and examine the hands your getting involved in. Make sure your playing quality hands in good position. Evalute your play first to make sure your the one at fault. Often times you will find your playing a true luck-donkey who cares less about odds and sucks out on several hands in a session.
