Community poker chats are now available |

We've made 2 chat options available to the community:
A standard IRC text chat (on irc.texasholdem-poker.com) and a teamspeak voice chat (on talk.texasholdem-poker.com).
We've made joining in on the chats as simple as a click: you may use the provided browser based chat by clicking on the channel names on our chat page, or through the status provided in the 'whose online' section at the bottom of the forum index (bottom of thpblog home page, if you're reading this thread from there). You can also access the chat page from the icon added at top of these forum pages.
All we ask is that users treat each other with the respect they deserve. You may create your own channels, or talk poker with other members in the main rooms. These chat services are specific to the THP community.
A chat how to page is also available for those users unfamiliar with the use of chat and its various commands. We'll be expanding this page to include applet troubles, so should you have questions or need assistance, feel free to ask here.
We're encouraging everyone to stop by to help get her rolling: the more participation by the community in these chats, the greater the experience for all. We look forward to seeing you.

I get page cannot be displayed message from internet explorer. What must I do??

If you are trying to chat through the browser, click on one of the channel names to open it: the irc:// style link you clicked on and pasted above is for mirc/client chatters.
If you have mirc installed and wish to use it, it should have recognized the irc:// format and opened mirc. If you have mirc and it did not, then mirc has to be reinstalled so that the association is properly set in the browser. This is common for people that installed another browser, such as firefox or opera, after installing mirc.
On the forum index, or the chat page, just click on 'thp' in channels and it will open up a new window with the browser based chat and take you to the thp channel.
