This poor guy comes down to Winnepeg and I left laying bad beat after bad beat on him. 6/12 table his was in for $1000 in the 1st hour, about $650 coming directly to ME!
Here is 3 hands in about 30 minutes-I will give him credit, it had a great sense of humor about all of it.
1st hand I limp w/ lots of others w/ 55, he raises from the blind w/ AK. Flop A95. He bets, I say "did you get some of that?" He says, "Yes", I say "I got a lot of it" and call. Turn AK, now I am thinking he has top 2 pair. He bets, many call, so I still just call. River blank, he bets, many call, I raise, he 3 bets all fold, I 4 bet, he calls. "I told you I had a lot of that flop" Him-"I know, I know".
2 hands later, I limp w/ K4 hearts he limps on the button, many callers.
I say "Give me another 5!" Flop comes A  J  5 , someone bets out, I say "I cant believe you bet into me when I got my 5" and I raise. All call. Turn another heart, checked to me, I check, my buddy bets, all call. Turn another heart giving me runner runner flush. I bet out, as he is raising, I say "I have the nuts". He just freezes, he cant stop raising know and he knows that I just made a huge suckout. I pop him again and he calls. What did he have? 55, the 5 that I asked for on the flop and tried to represent. The only reason I stayed in the pot was to represent the only hand I couldnt have, since he had it.
I then made another runner runner flush. That one wasnt as interesting, but I did play junk after a raise and his 3 bet, then flopped a big draw vs his QQ. Preflop I said "I wouldnt make this call, but since I own you, I might as well" It was in good humor-not vicious.
I sent him to the chip runner 3 times, the last one was a straddle hand w/ A7 suited, I raised, he 4 bet and 3 bet the flop of AQ7 w/ KQ putting him all in.
BTW-each time I had him, I told him my exact hand before his last call. I never lied. I would break into "O Canada" as he decided to call or not.
So to my friend Adam from Winnepeg, bless you. You took all your bad luck w/ grace, charm and good humor. And I KNOW that I didnt out play you, I was just the sucker w/ a deep stack taking some gambles.
