Preferred Pre Flop Percentage |

For your style of play what table flop percentage do you prefer when selecting your online 6 Max limit hold’em table?
I’ve heard contradictory advise on which is better, outrageously high (60 percent or higher) or something more moderate, say no more than 40 percent.
As a very new player, I’m not very versatile in the types of tables I can excel at. More than flop percentage I look for and prefer a table where there is not constant pre flop aggression. If the plan is to intimidate me and back me down with two and three bet raises, it often-times works.

I'd recommend sticking to the full-ring games if you're uncomfortable with a lot of aggression. 6-max can be a mixed bag, and table dynamics can change pretty quickly. It only takes one player to sit in to turn a loose passive table into a LAGfest.

I hear you, Sean. I haven't had much luck playing full ring though. After 6 max full ring seems like playing against an entire mob, so many players to keep an eye on, read and what not.
Besides a tendency toward less aggression what other benefits might full ring offer?

You can play tighter without getting chewed up by the blinds. In a 6-max game, you have to play more hands because you're paying the blinds more often. That's not so much an issue at full ring where you can be more selective.

So back to my original question: For your style of play, what pre flop percentage table do you look for?
Maybe you can answer that question for both the 6 Max table and full ring, since I assume the answer might be different for each.

My perfect 6-max table:
There is a nit in the SB&BB when I have the button. Which also means I can steal position when I don't have the button.
For the rest of the table, I'd like one lag and three limpaholics.
Apart from that I always prefer a high% of players seeing the flop as it generally means worse players, exceptions exist.
