Saturday at Canterbury…. $300 buy in to a 6/12 game. Take a few beats early and am hovering between $50 and $150 for about 2 hours. Take another runner/runner flush draw beat to my set and I’m down to my last $30 in chips. Man, not my table, not my day? Keep playing a tight game and it pays off. After back to back all-in wins to start and two hours later I’m sitting on a nearly $600 stack. 8) Probably one of the better comebacks I have put together in recent memory. (A short memory is required if you play at Canterbury.) Anyway, just never give up. Ya never know.
Good to meet up with Gold Dog out there last week. Man, do you ever have a good poker face.
Did you know that participating in a poker forum can help you improve your own game? Be it by sharing experiences or simply asking for help, participation in a forum helps you focus and keep 'on topic' which will help you improve your game. You can learn from other players feedback and from their experiences. Why the THP poker forums? We offer one of the best managed texas holdem poker forums available, and the community within is far more friendly than those typicaly found on other sites. We've made a 'lurkers edition' of the poker forum available here on Holdem Poker Online, but we encourage all visitors to register and join in on the conversations on TexasHoldem-Poker.com

Yeah, very nice to meet you and Dave, Jonny. Thanks again for the beer.
You're not kidding about having to have a short memory. Yikes! 3-6 and 2-4 is lotto poker.
Congratulations on the comeback. It's good to know someone can beat those games. :D
I don't know that the poker face helps, but I've got a story about that. A couple years ago, I was in Vegas and some guy asked me what had happened, so I told the story. He asked how long ago, I looked at my watch and (honest to god, I don't think about it), I said, "Holy shit, it was 25 years ago tonight!".
Anyway, I'll give a shout if it looks like I'll be in the Cities at all over the holidays. Can't remember my flight times, and it's always weather-dependent that time of year.
If you're ever up north, I tried out Grand Casino in Hinckley. Was a weekday afternoon, so not much action, but a few all-the-way-to-the-river and folders. Black Bear in Cloquet has a $20 + 5 with 1 hour rebuys and 1 add-on that was pretty crazy each weekday morning. Never played at Fond-du-Luth, it seemed pretty dead.
