Can someone plese explain to me how a Sit'N'Go tourney works? How is it different from a standard No-Limit tourney?
Did you know that participating in a poker forum can help you improve your own game? Be it by sharing experiences or simply asking for help, participation in a forum helps you focus and keep 'on topic' which will help you improve your game. You can learn from other players feedback and from their experiences. Why the THP poker forums? We offer one of the best managed texas holdem poker forums available, and the community within is far more friendly than those typicaly found on other sites. We've made a 'lurkers edition' of the poker forum available here on Holdem Poker Online, but we encourage all visitors to register and join in on the conversations on TexasHoldem-Poker.com

A Sit N Go tourney is a single table tournament with usually 6 or 10 players depending on the stake. It plays identically to a normal tourney but obviously u only have to defeat 5 or 9 opponents. You know the payouts every time as there are always the same number of players. I can't tell u about any site other than UB but their Sit N Go's pay 50% to the winner, 30% to 2nd place and 20% to 3rd. I personally think that they are a gr8 way to make money fairly easily if u r a good player

A S&G is just a single table tourney where you find an open table, sit down and wait on the table to fill up. Once it's full it's on from there. Everyone is given a certain amount of chips and you play until the is one guy left. The blinds and bets raise every ten hands so they only take about an hour to complete. Most of them pay out the top three so if you have a decent game, you should finish in the money enough to where it pays off.
Edit:Damn you Gen....always someone typing when I'm doing the same.

Good question cuz I was wondering myself.
and SNG tourneys.. they can be NL or Limit?
and can you add what free roll tourneys are?
Also I see scheduled tourneys... there seems to be so many tournaments when I go to a room and bring up the list. Some have entries to other tournaments etc. Almost gets confusing.
Thanks

SNG can be limit or NL. Freerolls are free entry tournaments.
