Overall I was pretty dissatisfied. I think they focused more on the culture and background of players than the actual poker itself, moreso this year than any other year I can remember.
Had some good moments though. I was immediately reminded as to why I can't stand Phil Hellmuth, and IMO his forced 'Good Guy' image was pretty much more annoying than his whiney crybaby attitude of the past. In the 20 minutes he had, he must have either directly stated, or insinuated that he was the greatest poker player of all time atleast half a dozen times.
Also, the look on Phil's face after the kid said "Just Muck the Cards Phil" after Hellmuth's mini self back patting tirade had to be the absolute greatest thing i have ever seen in my entire life Laughing

Hopefully the next 10 episodes have a little more actual poker in them. I know It's hard since their are so many tables to cover on the first few days and so few pocket cams / featured tables at that point, but I still think they could have done a much better job with the 2 hours they had.

Its on right now on ESPN at 3:00 eastern.

Farha got screwed badly, but i like it kinda because it shows the pros calling everyone crap players. Like the 1st had matusow hit his inside straight on the river, whle this guy went all in with 2 pairagainst a straight and hits his full house on the river, yet mike calls him trash. Although, i agree with him, its just funny how when one person gets lucky, they are good, and the other guy is just lucky as hell.

Phil DOES need to stfu lol. He's such an idiot. True at the start there he got lucky his opponents played weakly, but still stfu already.

Yeh, that's where I DLed mine from.

BTW, as mentioned there is a lot of story telling but the one about the Saunders guy with cancer was well worth hearing.

Thanks for the info king.

What do you use to play torrent files with?

Posted Wed Aug 23, 2006 3:21 pm GMT by mooseontheloose
Torrent is just the format used to DL the file. You'll need a torrent program like uTorrent, etc. I like uTorrent but a simple google search will help you find more. Once it finishes DLing you can just open the file (Day 1 for example is a .avi).

It took me about an hour but I downloaded the 1st hour avi file....

And it only gives me audio, no video Crying .

Upon loading in MWP, it says something about a codec error.

How can I fix this?

Posted Wed Aug 23, 2006 11:00 pm GMT by mooseontheloose
It's encoded with a codec, XVid I think. Just go download the DivX and Xvid codecs (google them), both are free and are what most videos are encoded in.

I tried using PokerBay with Bittorrent as my client, and I keep getting "Bad data from tracker" or something like that. Has anyone experienced this? I use bittorrent for everything else and it works like a dream.
