...a good sng cash %? As in, what % of sng's entered should one cash in to know they are good enough to beat the game? Is it just as long as one more than breaks even after x tournaments? Opinions?

while the percentage of sng's you cash in is important, i think the return on investment (ROI) is more important...for example, normally if you cash in 33% of the sngs you play in, then you can be said to be doing pretty well, but if they are always 3rd place, then using partypoker as an example, that means on average if you buyin 3 times for a $10+1, then you spent $33, and on average you earn $20, so you are netting -$13...so thats no good...so to break even, assuming you place 1st, 2nd, 3rd evenly, then you need a 33% cash rate...that will break you even (20+30+50)/3 = 33....if you want to get more exact in tracking this stuff, i suggest dropping a few bucks into pokertracker or pokeroffice....altho these programs are more helpful for cash games

so if this is something you are concerned about, doing good bankroll management should allow for it to take care of itself...for example, you should usually have a bankroll of 20-25 buyins, then when you build that up enuf to step up to the next higher buyin, then go for it...but if you drop below that 20-25 buyin amount for that level, you must be prepared to step down again w/o going on tilt....so if you stick to this, and you find yourself stepping up the buyin consistently over a long period of time (or taking out withdrawals from your roll)....then i think its safe to say that you're doing well for yourself

so, short answer is...it depends

For anything below $33 SnG's, about 20% (15%-25% range depending on how long you've played) ROI is a realistic long term number for a decent player.
