Hello there! I've got a question and i'm hoping someone here could give me an answer.
Here's the thing, i watched Rounders and became fascinated with the music. So i went ahead and looked for the official movie's soundtrack, but ended up with nothing except 1 or 2 songs from it.
Anyhoo, i was kinda wondering if someone could point me styles/artists/songs that are similar to the music in Rounders.
Thanks!

Funny, I was very recently looking for the disc with the Counting Crows song that plays during the credits, and can't find it anywhere.
I also would like help on this front.

Not to be ungrateful, but don't you think i could've done that before asking in a forum? Did you even read the thread? Or just posted the soundtrack because of the title?. I've already been to IMDB and amazon, and saw that.
Posted Fri Aug 25, 2006 10:20 am GMT by UrAteUp
Are you looking for the songs legally or looking to get them from a P2P program? I was supplying you with the legal way to obtain it, as well as a list in case you were trying the illegal way.
Yeah you didn't sound ungrateful, but you did sound downright rude to someone who was trying to help. Yes I read the post and I thought I could at least offer you a list of tracks as well as some titles not included on the soundtrack. Now if you want to seem nasty about it then go find it yourself.
Oh and have a nice day...
Posted Fri Aug 25, 2006 10:39 am GMT by Jay Zippo
Sorry if i seemed rude, but i thought i had made it clear that i wanted similar music to the one in the soundtrack, not necessarily the soundtrack itself. Again, sorry if my tone wasn't appropiate, got a little pissed off, that's all :D .

I was going to help you out, but after your response to the last guy who tried to help you I will instead quote the Simpsons
Homer Simpson:- Look at this country here! U R A Gay

Yeah, I may take you up on that. I have everything else of theirs, but could never find this track anywhere. Frustrating.

In case you didn't notice, i had apologized. Oh, and i guess you first world ass***** find the name Uruguay funny. So funny. Now go out and grow up.
Oh and shoot yourselves in your faces. I tried to apologize and the webmaster himself makes fun of my country. Seriously, go shoot yourself.
I'm off. Stupid forum, stupid people.

To be frank, I'd rather not have someone so rude and short tempered as yourself on the forum, funny country or not!
Posted Fri Aug 25, 2006 1:48 pm GMT by Jay Zippo
If short tempered means getting pissed when my country gets insulted just by its name, then the hell i am. You put me as the whinner because i'm the one with the low post count, but hey, since he is the webmaster, why getting mad at him just because he made fun of another culture? now that's something not rude.
I came here peacefully, i even apologized for the misunderstanding, but then you come and make fun of me and my country. Someone here has to frow up, and it's not me.
I enjoyed the forum while i lurked, but apparently once you join, your country gets bashed... Meh.
I'll be better off at The Poker Forum i guess.

Don't take country insults personal. Many of the forum members bash each others countries. Read some of the old posts and this will show. No country is safe, but one thing as a forum we are a tight group and we tend to stick up for each other if someone comes in with an attitude. I am sure Webby was kidding in his country bashing but your attitude did make people take offense.
Besides...Webby is from Scotland...you know that country that drinks too much and the men wear dresses.... ...I just hope like hell they were underwear under those dresses... ...if not please don't tell me. I have enough nightmares already....

WHO ARE YOU CALLING AN IDIOT!?!?!?!? HOW DARE YOU MAKE FUN OF MY CULTURE OMFGSHOOTURSELFINFACE!!!

Ok, as you're still here, let's clear a couple things up.
1: Your post count: Has absolutely nothing to do with my ragging on you because of your attitude, short-temperedness or rudeness. If you have been here lurking as you say, you would know that I brook no sh*t regardless of count. So you can lose that pareticular chip from your shoulder.
2: Making fun of your country's name: Hardly making fun of another culture. Now if i had panned the whole of South America and i's many and diverse peoples then yes, but making fun of a country's name... no. So you can remove the race card as well. By throwing that one out there you cheapen it for everyone who has ever actually been culturally or racially abused.
3: Coming here peacefully: Yes you did, it was a genuine question, a fine one even, However, your response to UAU, who obviously went to a great deal of trouble to try and help you out was downright RUDE! Ok, yes, so you apologised... you said sorry but then basically tried to defend your behaviour by explaining why you were so rude.
Now, you say you will go off to some other forum instead, fine, that is your choice, again, frankly i'd prefer it if you did if the above is typical of the way you deal with people, If you can modify your rudeness and discourtesy to those who genuinely try to help you you may stay here. I will even overlook the "shoot yourself in the face" comment and put it down to the fact you are a noob. For now. If you can't then that choice will be taken from you.

Yes, is that asking for an apologize? Isn't it? Oh, wait, i made an excuse right?.
Geez, please, i want you to be honest and tell me that if it was the other way around (old member asking - new member answering) you would've criticized the old member's behaviour.
I apologized to UrAteUp for my answer, and the webmaster comes then to bash me. And now calls me a noob also, and says i can stay if i calm down? Guy, tone down the condescendence a little bit. You practically hijacked the thread, insulted my country's name, called me a noob and i'm the short tempered one?
Apologizes? I made mine when i was suppossed to, but you can't take it for good. No, i made an excuse to make me look right.
It must feel good to have 2000+ posts and be the webmaster of the forum, but don't talk down on people. 3 replies on a topic without answering the question, that sounds like spam to me, and if it was from any other user, he would've been warned.
I know i'm being bashed by the rest because i'm the new user (or noob if you must flame) but put yourselves my side and ask yourselves "Would it have been the same if the thread was the other way around?"

I actually take this as a compliment. Us Iowans can be sick, short a leg, and lazy, and STILL piss people off to the point where they want to kick us!
PS. What happened to the yammer? That was my favorite emoticon! Let me guess, some Canadian got pissed because it knocks their culture!!!!

Jay,
Don't feel too bad. He wasn't even making fun of your country, Homer was. All webmaster did was quote him.

EDIT: I have been doing to thpblog.com and viewing the forums on that site and the yammer doesn't show. It DOES show, however, on th-p.com.
