Why do you play and raise such bad cards? Shocked

Yeah, seriously. You deserve that if you play garbage like that, from early position, and come in raising with it.

I dont consider a hand with a PP above 10 to be "garbage" ever. Also, aggression is the key in low limit omaha. Omaha is a way for me to relax at the end of a long day of poker. Plus, i consistently win in it with an extreme LAG style of play because of how passive people are. All these add together to spell winnar! Razz

Aggression is a key factor, but if there is one true "key" factor, it's hand selection. In all high-low games, you want potential scoop hands, and the only way you're usually going to scoop with A6TT is if there is no low on the board (a minority of the time), and probably only if you make the nut flush, tens full (which will not be the top full house if there is no low), or the unlikely broadway straight.

Big pairs are not "garbage" in Hold'em, but when they have little else going for them, they are often just that in Omaha... garbage.

In Pot Limit, you can sometimes get away playing slightly more marginal cards, but in the end I think High-Low is a game more geared toward a TAG style, because the one-way nuts are out SO frequently in Omaha that second-best hands can turn your lumber yard into a tooth pick, so to speak.

Seriously though... it's true that you got unlucky. But...

You really need to narrow down your hand selection. ATT6 (one suit) might be ok (at best) in late position is HI only, but is trully garbage in HI/LO. You have nothing going for you in that hand. Your only hope is what Diamond said.

In HI/LO games (either Stud or Omaha), the key to make money is by "scooping", as Diamond said. By going for only HI or LO, the best you can hope for is a split pot, and only if you do win your HI or LO.

Omaha 8 is a gold mine for those who can truly play it.
