One day when I was playing online I was messing with something else in the background, when it's your turn the interface comes to the front, and the mini raise button is exactly where I was trying to click on the other window. I look down at 74os to a huge out of place raise and I just put half my chips in play. Villian moves all in and I have to hollywood it up like I'm making a good lay down... I fold as the timer is about to run out and he shows me AA, like it even mattered.
Gotta love the accidental bet on online poker.

lol. that didn't happen to me yet.
The only closest thing that happened, is that instead of a good raise I accidently min raise. But it worked to my advantage - villain went allin and I happily called and won!

I was playing a tournament and a cash game at the same time once, and I misread the action... in the cash game I held AJ in the hole, and in the tournament the board was KQT. Well, I'm sure I don't need to explain the story to you, but the short version is I was busted out of that tournament in about 10 seconds.
The most embarassing part was that in the tournament I held 32, and someone had pushed all-in with TT. Everyone thought I'd gone crazy... how embarassing.
I'm glad it didn't come the other way around, though, because the tournament was an $11 entry in the early stages, while my stack was about $150 on the cash table.

I have three stories, two of them were good for me.
Im playing a cash game at my friend's house, and i believe i had a decent chip advantage over some guys. Flop comes down, i hit top pair or something, and after the river this guy moves all in. There was a straight possibility but i had to call.
The guy showed something like 9 10 j q and an ace.
and he goes "straight!" everyone goes... uh no. And my lowly queen got him.
another time, there was an ace high straight on the board, and just praying to god the guy would fold, i bet like 1/2 the pot. And he folded. Everyone laughed at him and he was like "oh well i only had jacks"...
Then a while after that I was dealt K 5 in the BB or something, so i played it.
Flop comes k 5 a
I thught i had K 6 and so i just bet as i would with just Kings.
Turn: 7
River:7
then i look down at my cards again and realize i missed my chance on the two pair and got screwed on the river. The guy had an ace.

I was playing at Ameristar Casino in St. Charles Mo. I play there all the time. I play $1-2 NL. I was dealt poket Cowboys. i pre-raised 35 dollars. Gladly 4 people called. then hear comes the flop. two more Cowboys and a 10 My heart was racing so fast. i was first to act. i reached back and grabbed at the wrong stack of chips and held over $100 past the line forgettin to call my bet. Immediatly everyone folds. i was only gonna bet 20. but that cost me more than i knew.

Wow, every time I make a silly online mistake I say to my self - this will never happen in live poker.
You proved me wrong
Thanks for posting.

You'd think live games would be less mistakes but there are always more since you don't have a couple of buttons to hit.
One example and this has happened a few times is the guy in late position "checking" his hand after me and showing it on the TURN. Last time it happened he had me beat and I said good to know and asked to see the river card. I hit it and knew my hand was good so I bet out fairly big to make it look like a steal and he called me.

Oh yea that reminds me of a time, where this guy next to me kept holding up his cards, not intentionally so i could see them, but enough where i could out of instinct/temptation. So i told him "you know, you better keep your cards down i can see them".
So a few hands into this thing, i told him "hey, i saw your cards stop that ok". This was probably a dick move on my part, and as part of him being stupid, i said i was going to keep playing even though i knew i was beat.
The pot already had like 4-5 bucks in it, and on the river he got all pissed because i knew what he had. Morally i was thinking "gosh if i bet and win this is bad, but... its his fault and i knew the only way i could win was with a bet"
After i toiled for a few minutes (making it obvious i had NOTHING), i bet 25or 50 cents. Then he folds and gets pissed off. For that alone he shouldnt have won because i think he had a pair of aces with 10 kicker.
Im a bad person.

CRAP...
2nd hand of MTT I get dealt AJ; flop comes Jxx and I try to bet the pot of 150 but accidentally put in an extra 0 and go in for 1,500 chips.
Ran into a set and i'm down to 30 chips.

Happened again today.
I was closing the instant HH and my window popped up, causing me to inadvertently reraise the minimum in a tournament. Oopsie!
