I have been playing online about 1 and a half now after years of refusing to play there. Basically i never really trusted the sites but with all the security I felt more comfortable so i decided to join Absolute Poker.
Anyway, I have always played a tight agressive style of poker and have continued to play that way online. I take =notes on players and use them all the time to make good choices. The thing thats been bugging me is that it seems that no matter how long I play at a table, my image dosent seem to come into play at all. I make good laydowns all the time, make good calls and play the same TAG style. However, people always seem to call me down with crap (sometimes to my benifit other times it stacks me). I was just seeing if any of you guys have found a way to forify your image online or is it just the nature of the beast.

What limits do you play? Most players could care less about table image until the higher levels.

I think that table image is important at pretty much all levels but i play mainly torunaments ($20 sng $5-$20 mtt) and 25nl tables. I was mainly talking about tournaments online b/c ur image really comes into play the deeper you go. I can adapt and play my game fine, but I was just seeing if anyone has had success/failures in this area

In lower levels people don't really notice table image because they are stupid.
However, even in the lower table you can get some respect by - slow playing a hugh hand and getting it to showdown and winning big pots. And sadly the major way to get respect is to have a hugh stack. In lower levels people only respect you if you have the chips. If you don't - they'll call you with rags.

The VAST majority of lower levl players don't pay attention to anything other than the cards they're dealt and the pots they are in.
You could play squeaky tight start to finish in a tourney and not even be noticed.
Use this to your advantage.
