I always think back fondly to this hand...
2005 WSOP Event #37, NLH w/ Rebuys, about halfway through day one...
I'm in the BB with 86o. Two players limp from middle position, small blind folds. I get a free look.
Flop is 8 6 3 (I didn't have a spade), and I bet out half the pot. They both call. I'm thinking that someone's gotta be on a flush draw, but there could be a set (3's most likely), but maybe something as strong as 99 might be lurking about too.
The turn is the best possible card for me, an 8 . I physically started acting disgusted (someone sucked out on me with a flush draw earlier), and I check. The next guy to act immediately goes all-in, way over the size of the pot. The next guy goes in the tank for two minutes. During this time, he's looking at the raiser mostly, but toward the end he looks over to me. On cue, I picked up the chip I had covering my cards and put in back in my stack, then pick up my cards in my hand. In retrospect, I'd never pull shit like that now, but I really wanted to triple up. During that two minutes I got a chance to count out both their chips, and they both had very slightly less than me.
So he finally calls and I immediately say "All-in!, er...Call!", and I flip my boat. They both flip over flushes. First guy had A 9 , the second guy had K J . They both are drawing dead and I triple. I rode those chips I won in that hand on to a 49th place finish (out of 894).
After the hand, I said to the other players, "That was a perfect hand, that's what my sweaty poker dreams are made of." John D'Agostino was sitting two to my right and said something like "Man, I just dream about having aces versus kings."
"Well, if you're going to have a dirty dream about 86 off, that's the one."
That's the story of my favorite hand.

Great story Adam... that's gotta make you feel good.
My story: A few days ago, I think Saturday night it was, I'm playing 6-handed $50 NL on Stars with a guy who professed to be drunk at my table, and I believed them. He was catching some cards though, and had about $70 in his stack. I was sitting on the button with about $85. Everyone else had something in the $30-$40 range.
The UTG player raises to $1.50, and gets called by both players (including the drunkard on my right). I elected to call with my A 5 . It wasn't a fantastic hand, but I figure I can win a lot if things line up correctly--I'm perfectly fine laying down TPNK, so I wasn't worried. The SB folded, and the BB called.
The flop was Q T 5 . Not the greatest flop for my hand, but at least I got a little bit. The BB checked, and the pre-flop raiser bet $1.50, a small fraction of the pot. The next player passed, and drunky McGee called. I decided to smooth call here and see what happened on the turn, as I was getting decent odds. The BB folded.
The turn was the A . Although I now had Aces up, I wasn't feeling especially good about my hand. The drunk guy could have anything, but the pre-flop raiser I'd seen play mostly solid hands and not bet them very strongly. AQ, AT, or KJ were all legitimate possibilities in my hand. He led out for $5. The drunkard called again. I actually thought I probably had the worst hand, but I was getting such a huge overlay on my money that I had to call.
The river came the 5 . My perfect card. Now I'm only losing to a big pair, which I was fairly sure the first guy didn't have (he was a typical weak-tight guy who ALWAYS seemed to slowplay and check-raise his good hands like trips and sets). If I was wrong, I was wrong and I'd probably lose a lot, but I was fine with that--I had to go with my read, and folding here would be a super-nit play.
The first guy led out for $10 this time. Drunky then min-raises him to $20! I was thinking, "awesome, he has a 5 and is about to go broke." I re-raised everything, because Drunky loved to call all-ins, as all-in always means "BLUFF" is $50NL, right? The initial bettor folds, and Drunky says, "I think you have ten 9" and then calls. My hand is turned up, and he says "nh" and shows me a 7 6 ! The first bettor claims he folded AK, but I think it was really AJ.
Now that's awesome!

in a 6 man .50/1.00 the guy utg raised to 3 and i called with 5s and flop came down 5-5-a, he bet half the pot and i called, turn came down A, agin he bets half the pot and i call, then comes a 10 on the river, he bets the pot i move all in and he calls with his weak a-10
also another time in an $11 6 man sng with blinds at 20-40 (about 3 min into it)i raise to utg to 155 with aces, next guy goes all in about 1700 more, tehe next two guys both go all in..........they turn over kq, 89, and q10 and my aces hold.......strangest preflop play ive ever seen

It was a home game, i had reloaded rwice ( ) due to two huge suckouts and was getting pretty desperate.
my stack: €15
button stack: €25
middle position stack: €18
I get 99 in the BB. button raises to 4X BB. i call and someone in middle position calls
flop:
A-A-9
i check, MP checks, button bets about half the size of the pot. i call and MP calls
turn is a 7.
i check again, MP checks, button now fires out a big potsized bet, i raise all-in for a bit more, MP calls and button calls also!
showdown: MP has A-2, button A-K
river was a blank
not often you get to triple up in a cash game
