did i play this right, relatively new player

i was button and winner was bigblind
i raised preflop with AK , hit high pair on flop with KK
i raised, then called reraise, then called raise on turn and river

anyways did i make any big mistakes, is this whats called a bad beat?
just want to get some advice if i'm doing anything wrong as im still new, i did come out on top with $16 profit after 100 hands

oops i should mention it is a limit game .50/1

I'd either 3-bet the flop or raise the turn before slowing down. A check-raise here could mean a lot of things: anything from a set to two-pair to a weaker K. I wouldn't expect to see QT here, because the BB shouldn't want to shut out those left to act behind.

I think your line is a little passive, but it's not the worst way to play it.

Didn't notice this was a limit game. 3 bet the flop and if he still leads out on the turn it's probably time to let it go.

Your raise preflop was way too weak. If you have AK you gotta raise it up more than 2xBB if so many people call. Chances are, if they had just called, they dont have good enough cards to call a large raise.

Ah yes, another reason why i dont like limit games. But ive only played when i thought i was playing a NL game, so ive always had a bad impression on it.

i don't think you did anything bad...in fact as a new player you did a good job of getting to see a relatively cheap river

just make a note and keep playing
