I'd prefer a call here to try and bring the 3rd player in.
Push is definitly not a bad play though.

I have no objections to that play, except maybe the slightly loose call preflop (but even that isn't too bad).

I don't mind the pre-flop call, the raise wasn't exactly huge. I certainly don't mind the move-in post flop, even thou you are on a draw. (albeit a huge one)

You were thinking, "This makes for a tough call for the AX kinds of hands I think I'm dealing with here, plus if I do get a call my hand plays best against that kind of hand". Something like that?
I kinda like Skribble's point, there's a lot of cards that give you the nuts or thereabouts and maybe give others sticky little high 2 pairs or etc.
If he bets twice as much do you still go all in? If he goes all in do you call?

Pretty close although replace Ax with Kx. There is an outside chance villian has AK but I'd doubt it. Early mini raise often signals PP or marginal hand that includes two face cards but rarely AK. A10 maybe, A 5 maybe.
I'm in good shape vs any hand there, even a set. I'm a favorite or even money to any hand but the set, and A5 of clubs is the worst hand I can see.
I'm also thinking if I miss the turn I'm probably facing a bet of at least 1k and that leaves me in a bad spot with one card to come. My draw is huge on the flop, on the turn it's just hard to get away from and I won't have enough to bluff if I miss. I'm also concerned that any card but the 9 of non clubs is unlikely to pay off big, so my implied odds aren't there unless I hit on the river where I've already called off most of my chips.
I'd like two cards, I'd like to win right now and I'm ok with most hands that will call me, but I don't feel like villian can. Mini Raise early to me is often PP or maginal hand trying to see a cheap flop.
Would I have called an all-in... it depends but not likely. My all in move gave me two ways to win the pot, calling only gives me one. The best I could be up against if villian moves all in is two pair where I'm just even money or a really badly played AA.
Villian did call BTW, with K10 of all hands. 9 on the turn sealed the deal.

It's hard to play a sfd wrong. calling or raising any amount would be acceptable imo.
