Played some $2/$4 at the Bicycle Casino last night, and had to brag about this hand. These low limit tables are usually filled with such amazing donkeys, but the people at my table last night were suprisingly passive. They folded any time they missed the flop (at a limit that is usually no fold 'em hold 'em), so stealing pots was pretty easy. That being said, getting paid off on this hand was the best part of all.
I'm in the BB, there's a bunch of limpers as usual, the button raises, SB calls, and I look down at my beautiful black aces. 3 bet! Everyone calls.
The flop came out 7 7 4, and the SB checks. I lead out, a couple of callers including the button, the SB check raises me, I 3 bet, everyone calls to the SB who caps, we all call.
The turn is an ace :D . The SB leads out, I raise, folds to the button who calls 2 cold, SB 3 bets, I cap, both call.
The river is the case ace! 8) SB checks, I bet, the button calls, and the SB calls while shaking his head. I unfold my quads and the shout from the whole table was a great feeling. Button flips over QQ, thank you for the large donation! The SB turns over K7, he had me on the flop, but told me he still thought he was ahead on the turn. When the river hit I was hoping he had pocket sevens, which would have been a horrible beat for him but he (and I and the rest of the table) would have been well compensated for it with the bad beat jackpot!
Anyways, it was my first live quads, but live quad aces was a definite rush, and raking that huge pot with it gave me a nice profit for the evening.
