You bet, get check raised, call and get shown a flush (the title gave it away).
It's close on the river and I don't play $.01/.02, but in those games I suspect that value betting again and folding to a raise is best, but a lot depends on the opponent and so forth.

6 handed on the button, why just call the BB?
Whats up with the turn bet overbetting the pot? He called the turn to a massive overbet he's checking the river, I check behind most of the time.
If you want to question your play, preflop and on the flop were very weak to suddenly blow up on the turn only to have Mr. Freeflop call down that bet...

The bet on turn was to see his reaction to the Ah.
I dont see the point in betting on the flop when it completely missed me, i've lost a ton of money chasing that pair with say AK in higher limits. He checked so I checked to get a free card.
This guy checked river so I took it as a sign of weakness and bet .12. he called and showed me A7o.

I check behind on the river. The third heart is a scary card that could certainly have beaten you. The question you have to ask yourself is do you want to call a checkraise with your hand if ou bet? I wouldn't and therefore I check it down and hopefully win.

Raise preflop.
Check behind on the river.
