What was he thinking?
$3/$6 NL Cash game. I'm dealt pocket Kings, I'm happy. I bet pot sized bet preflop, something like $20, he calls.
Flop comes 3 7 Q. He bets out and I'm thinking perfect he's got AQ. I go all in. He wins with 7s full of Queens.

While this is in the right section, I'm not sure what kind of answer you're expecting here.
If this was online, a provided HH would be much more effective. If it was live, more details would also help people appreciate your beat.
Now for a stab at the "what was he thinking.."
The following need to be considered: Table image, position, stacks, previous hands with the player, etc..
Tough beat, sir.

It was an online game, i dont have the hh but I figured my table image was a tight player, I didnt play many hands.
I had position on him.
I still dont know what he hoped to flop with q7. best you can hope for is two pair. which is what he got. (river gave him fh)

Think of players like Gus Hansen, Daniel Negreanu, and Phil Ivey. Do you see them playing all premium hands?
At a 3/6NL game (especially online), the players are usually bright and sophisticated, therefore capable of playing many hands whether IP or OOP. This could have been one of those times.
Or he could have been a complete donkey.

No i understand that, and I do that from time to time like playing 10 8, 5 7. It pays off when you hit something like a straight. And it mixes up your play and makes you unpredictable. All good strategy. But it's not a good strategy when you're out of position against a big raise.
But he was out of position and his kicker was crap. I could see Gus Hansen making that play though, lol.

it sucks but going all in was not the best move. he could have just as easily have made a set. of course i dont know how much you had brought to the table so it may have been your only choice
and gus wouldve pushed preflop

yeah going all in was risky. When he called I thougt he may have had pocket queens. But i had him covered because I was up 4x for the session. It didnt break me it was just real disappointing.
