Playing high cards against an utra aggressive player

What would you do here against someone who is extremely aggressive/high. He just smoked a bowl and he came to play.
I realize this hand doesnt put me in the best of light, but i just want to hear how others would play it. He went from like 60 bucks to about 20, to about 40 within about half an hour. He will bluff a lot, but he also played with some guys that would play shitty cards, so he would win a 10 dollar pot with Ace high. I wont put some of the tells i have on him yet.

I get dealt A Q in SB

I had probably 15 bucks, he had probably 3 times that.

I raise 3xBB to 2 bucks total blinds at .25-.50

Villian calls

Flop: j 8 6 rainbow.

I bet 1.50

He reraises 2 bucks

I call and thinks he doesnt have much.

Turn: ? (i think it was like a 3, something not too helpful)

He raises 4* bucks.

What should i do?

fold. Also, did he check raise the flop cos you say you bet and got re raised, then on the turn hes bet out himself. This is a very simple fold, hes agressive so wait for a hand and let him bet for you is my advice.

Agressive people hit too.

On the turn i beleive i checked first, i think i was first to act.

By the way, in the end he turned over A 4.

I felt like an idiot, because i "knew" he didnt have anything, but i still folded because i figured i could get him another time.
