I have recently thought about starting an account on an online poker site so I can try (and try may be the key word) and make some extra money. And possible see how I like it. So what I was wondering is in your opinions which site(s) is the easiest to deposit on and pla one and whcih one makes for smooth play and withdrawls. Also if you have extra pointers or tips on how to make the best of my money (aside fom just teling me to "win dummy") I would apprecaite it.
Thanks for your time and opinions have a good one and good luck to you all.
Did you know that participating in a poker forum can help you improve your own game? Be it by sharing experiences or simply asking for help, participation in a forum helps you focus and keep 'on topic' which will help you improve your game. You can learn from other players feedback and from their experiences. Why the THP poker forums? We offer one of the best managed texas holdem poker forums available, and the community within is far more friendly than those typicaly found on other sites. We've made a 'lurkers edition' of the poker forum available here on Holdem Poker Online, but we encourage all visitors to register and join in on the conversations on TexasHoldem-Poker.com

I find pacific poker to be the best site to play on for easiness of deposits (I use my checking account and if i want to cash out, they deposit directly back into my checking account).
I found the competition to be very weak as well. I personally hated ultimate bet. Party and Stars are always a good choice as well, but i like pacific the best.
There is a little banner on this site that will link you to 888.com which is pacific poker. If you want a little extra money u can sign me up as your referral 8)

Open a Neteller account. It will make transfers between sites and your bank much easier.
As for sites, depending on how much you plan to deposit, Pokerstars is probably one of the best places to start. Tons of games at micro limits, so you won't need a lot to get started. Party Poker is another option, but if you plan on playing fixed limit, the lowest they spread is $.50/$1.
Shop around for deposit bonuses too. A little extra cash always helps when you're getting started.

Sean, other than Party poker, what sites consistantly give you bonuses?
Ive never seen any out of full tilt, very rarely with stars, and the rest are usually first time deposit bonuses...any help there? I registered my checking account with neteller and plan to do some bonus whoring...

Absolute has a redeposit bonus almost every week, and it's relatively simple to clear at 1/2 or 2/4 FL.

Just do a search on google for "bonus whoring".
Its pretty much just hoping site to site and collecting free money. Only thing to be wary of is which bonuses you hit first.
IE. If a site is offering 100% up to $600 for your first deposit, don't go here first. Wait until you have the $600. If you only plan on depositing $100 or so check some of the links on this site that have smaller bonuses.
