6-max FL, 1$/2$
Hero is UTG+1 w/ A K
Fold, Hero bets, folds, CO calls, folds, BB calls
Flop: 2 5 9
BB checks, Hero...?
Assume CO to be your classic losing 6-max lagtard who coldcalls too much w/any PP and any king/ace, goes too showdown too much w/any pair and will often bet when checked too. BB generally bets flop if he hits.
Q: What is your line on the flop and what is your plan for the turn if you do not improve?

Bet flop...always...you are probably value betting AK high enough here to be purely profitable, not counting deception, metaphysics junk etc.
Bet a non-diamond turn and check the river unimproved. Check a diamond turn and induce a bluff, calling the river.
When deciding whether to bet or check the turn on these kinds of hands, be more inclined to bet when you have a hand worth showing down (small pair, A-high, even K-high). Otherwise, check if your hand won't survive a showdown and take a free card.
