This is of legends.
If this was on tape, it would be poker history. I swear this happened, and I've never been so amazed in my life... I do not care at all that I lost this pot.
Cash home game, blinds are .50/1.00
I have about 72.00, am already up 52.00 on what I bought in for... I am on my last couple hands before I plan on cashing out.. We are seven-handed, and I am first position.
I look down at Ad Kd. I just call, hoping to action in front of me (lots of loose players) Bet made by small blind to 4 is called by the BB and me..
FLOP
Ac Ks As
(In my head I am screaming at this point, how about those nuts!?)
Raise to 8.00, called by the next guy, I smooth call as well... no reason to bet with action behind me, the nuts, and a draw on the board to pay me off...
TURN
9h (well that don't help)
Raise to 16.00.... Raise to all- in behind that... for about 52.00 more... almost all my stack...
I call, guy behind him folds..I start suspecting that I may have gave someone a bad beat and he has KK....We chop with another AK (ouch), or he has AQ...Then it occured to me... JsQs, would be a hell of hand to get off of right now.
he flips over.... JsQs.... Dead flush draw, dead straight draw, but drawing to the one card that can beat me. A one-outter.... and the river comes...
A Ten of spades...
I've never felt more privaleged to lose a hand in my life, and will tell my future grandkids about that one... Sorry, that is the bad beat of a lifetime.

No, heres a worse beat. Flopping top set on a rainbow board only to have someone hit running quads. I believe that is much worse.

This is true, but it depends on when the money goes in. If you had your money in on the flop, then yes, runner runner quads is worse.
If your money got in on the turn (like this example) then you would have the exact same odds (1-outer).
