Need some advice on dealing with a leak in my game. I like to think I'm a pretty decent journyman limit ring player and I win consistently. But I lost a lot of money relative to the stakes I play last week and half of the losses were directly attributable to a problem I've noticed in my play before, but never with so much consequence.
Basically, I tend to dig in my heels and call down an aggressive player when I have a made hand--regardless of how weak it is--and there is no obvious threat on the board. I'm talking about players that raise more hands than I play, sometimes as many as 50% of hands.
Let's say, for example, that I have 78 suited or A7 suited and it is (reasonably) correct to call preflop and the flop hits my seven but misses my flush, straight, and/or ace.
Now, I'm not a complete idiot. I have no trouble bailing on the hand (usually on the turn bet) if the flop presents dangerous overcards. I also have no problem folding if otherwise tight players remain in the hand. I run into problems when it is me and the wacko heads up. He's betting out every round and I call him down with my sevens, or even deuces. The problem is compounded by the fact that I win enough of these hands to remember that it is possible. I'm no longer figuring odds, I am being stubborn.
Any advice that doesn't involve electroshock therapy would be appreciated.

in FL: If someone raises alot of their preflop hands and jams all streets often, I think bottom pair/top kicker is a perfectly reasonable holding to keep them company with.
