I was just curious if there is any conventional wisdom as to what constitutes a decent ITM% or ROI for 1 table SnGs? How about MTTs? Also, how many must one play for this number to accurately reflect ones efforts?

First off, let me be one to say that my statistics shouldnt NOT be considered 100% accurate, But I'll try to explain what I can, as briefly, and clearly as possible.
#1, if you can stick to a +40% ITM rate at STT's you should be fine. The number one thing that needs to be accounted for, yet never is, is the tournament rake, and how that actually correlates to your profit in the long run.
For Example.
you get 3rd place in a $20+2 STT, five times in a row. What is your profit?
$100, or $90?
Spread that out over a span of 1000-2000 STT's and you will realize that essentially, a high ITM rate has to make up for the rake. What I suggest is playing 100-200 STT's, recording all results. That means, cashes and no cashes. Add up the total rake paid, the total percentage ITM and the total profit.
That should give you a pretty good idea.
So in conclusion, try to get a 40% ITM for any real profit. :D
