10-seat (9 sometimes) SNG's; usually 9
NL 6-max cash games; 4-6
I think you wanted to know about cash games so I voted 5-6.

Never more than 3... otherwise I can't focus enough to play my A-game.
Also, it kinda annoys me when people are obviously playing too many tables and are holding up the action every hand at every single table.

yeah i start to lose concentration at around 3+ tables

I only play one table at a time. I want to keep winning and improving my game and I think this is the best way to do it. Besides I have poor vision and can't see the "small" tables too well.

I lose concentration and feel "rushed" when playing more than 2 tables at a time. I know I hate it when people hold up every hand because they're playing too many tables, so I don't want to be one of them. Do unto others....

I dont have the problem of playing slowly on many tables... it actually forces me to play better. Aka, folding when you should, not playing junk out of position, folding top pair when its obviously beat. The reason i think you dont do these things playing a low amount of games is the fact that you dont see them very often (TPGK) situation.

I think you're right on this to some extent. However, personally, I'm not just playing poker when I'm online. I'm also multitasking about 3 or 4 other things and watching the hubby play on the computer beside me. With that many distractions already, I don't need more than 2 tables going. If I'm home alone and the satellite's out or something (God forbid!) I may play more so that I don't put myself in the situation you described.

I tried playing two tourney's last night as once, it was hell.
I don't know how people play more than a few tables at once, don't you feel you miss a lot of info or is that the point to just play ABC poker?

I like to play 3 sng's at a time.

I may not know stuff about everyone but trust me. I have a good idea who the table donks are on all my tables. I know it may not seem like that with 6-8 tables running but I'm always aware of who is playing really dumb poker (ie who to expect to be calling off huge bets on very marginal hands). I find that playing many tables at once forces me to play ABC poker because i dont have the ability to play 4 or 5 hands at once. Rarely will i get into a situation where im involved in 3 pots or more combined.

I used to 6-8 table cash games and just play strict ABC poker. I found that it's a decent way to make a steady amount of money, but it's less fun. When playing more than 4 tables at a time, I do not beleive anyone who says they can keep track of all the players at all of the tables...It's just simply impossible.
For the sake of fun and learning, I now prefer only 1-3 tables at a time but I understand how others enjoy playing more.

I try not to play more than 3 tables at once. Any more tables and I my play suffers.

I don't like multi-tabling...I can't focus on the players enough....and it makes me crazy...i like to play at my very best whenever possible...I dont even like to run any other programs while playing, just so i can focus on ppl

I play stud now, so I usually two table that, three if its micro-limit on Pstars.
If you can play 4 or more tables of stud with high success ... you shouldn't be playing poker, you should be solving complex math equations that I can't even think of a good name for.

If I am multi-tabling I need to run a tracking program that records how tight all the players are playing.........
Otherwise I could make the mistake of playing a decent hand against a preflop raise against a rock who has not played a hand for an hour.
These things can get missed when multi tabling.

I said i can pick out a lot of the tight/idiot players from my table not all. For example, when i was playing the other night there were 2 players that were at 4 of my other tables that were playing like total donks. In addition, there were 2 players playing at 3 of my tables that i knew were rocks. I can easily keep track of this info (im gifted with an awesome memory oh yeah!).

lol....thats fair enough.
Your lucky to have a good memory.
Just remember this though.......donkeys get dealt good cards as well.
