Shouldve raised on the flop. now you're in a pickle

Fold. At worst you have 4 outs. At best villain has 11. And it's three times more likely that u have 4 outs, than he has 11.

I can't see this being a bluff.

BB making the move is tricky, he could be overplaying 2 pair here, could have even flopped it. Trouble is villian could easily have 89 or K9 and it's possible he checked AK.

I think we're ahead here more often than not, but given how much money you have in the pot and how much is left to call from a hand you let in for free I'd strongly consider folding it.

I'd have raised the flop BTW and forced a gutshot to outdraw me here.

No one thinks our hand is good?

I think there's a good chance it is. Only hands I'm worried about are K9 or 98. AK does not seem very likely to me. But yeah, the fact that he made that move over a bet and raise is indicative of one of two things:

1. He has a hand he thinks he's going to get paid off with, or...
2. He is a typical weak player who overbets his bluffs.

Having put 470 in there, with over 1,000 in the pot and only about 1300 more to call, I'm really leaning toward a call here in a freezeout situation. I'd rather go broke on hand 1 with a good chance to build up a stack than just grind it out for a few hours. Sometimes you just have to take chances in tournaments you wouldn't take in cash.

I'd say a big possibility is something like K Diamond Q Diamond , K Diamond T Diamond , Q Diamond 9 Diamond , or a similar hand. I say call him and find out. It's only $10, but a win on this hand might be step one to something much bigger.

I said I think we're ahead here more often than not, but I still am not a big fan of the call due to how poorly we played the flop. A flop raise (decent sized) could have gotten us a lot more comfortable with the turn as we really only have to consider 89 as a real hand to be drawing that made it.

With diamonds reasoning, I ended up calling.

He overbet the pot and I figured he was on the diamond draw, trying to force me out.

He held 98 and took the pot.

can I ask why did you just call the flop? Where you afraid of a better hand or where you slow playing the J?

I would reraised this flop , just to see where I stand. Flat calling with TPGK doesn't give you any information and you give them free cards to draw.
The flop has a flush and a str8 draw - don't give cheap cards if you intend to stay in it.

Also, I would probably raise preflop.
