one question, there are 3 people left on the table, all three go all in, the stakes are as follows:
chip leader 30.000 in chips
2nd: 20.000 in chips
1st: 10.000 in chips
The chipleader wins the hand, WHO IS 2nd?

The person who started with the 2nd most chips at the start of the hand is the second place finisher (ie the guy with 20k chips).

Frequent question. Look at it as how the pot is rewarded: main pot, then side pot. Main pot reward eliminates the shortest stack first, side pot eliminates the middle stack.

Thats true but most of the time you settle up the side pot first, so that could cause some confusion.
