prolly just call the turn and see what happens on the river.

If he bets big you can prolly get away from it, but i'm paying off anything pot sized or smaller.

This might be a trap, a crappy bet with what he believes to be the best hand (if he had AT, T8, 98, or something like that), or a semi-sophisticated but nonetheless poor bluff. Very player-dependent, because this is probably one of the hardest spots to be in in No Limit. Or, if he has a little skill, this might be a somewhat sneaky semi-bluff/blocking bet with a flush draw that he can bet on the river if a brick drops.

I would just have to go with my instinct here, but just from reading the history, he is representing a hand that has you beat. Even so, with the min-raise, I don't think you should fold immediately. I call and wait for the river. If a spade falls you can bet it as a scare card, and if a T or 9 falls you will certainly have the best hand. If the river bricks I would probably have to check/fold unless you have more information about the villain.

BB certainly indicating that he does not want any more money in the pot. He wants to win it and win it now, the 8 on the turn helped him but he thinks it gave you a draw that’s dangerous for him.

You already have a good hand with 4 outs to the nuts, you are beaten by trips or straight at this point but does he have them, trips 44 or 88 pps unlikely if he’s aggressive and did not raise pre flop, again unlikely on a flush draw as he did not raise on the flop. I going all out and putting him on a straight. he’s either got 7A for the wrong end of the straight or 6Q and is drawing to a double belly buster. Call the bet 1.40 into a 3.80 pot, you have 4 outs to the nuts, hit one of those outs and you will get paid off big time. If you hit on the river make a small bet and see if he comes over the top, If you don’t hit and chances are you won’t check the bet and see what he does, any bet into the 5.20 pot, would have to be more than half the pot to keep me out with 2pair. So I guess I am saying spend 1.40 with the potential to win his stack, as if he does have the strait he will put it all out there. Make the decision on the river pending the size of his bet.

I have been wrong on occasions but I winning this week.

This is another great example of why position in NL is probably the most important aspect of the game. Villain has put you in a tough spot in which there really aren't any good options:

1. Fold: you have a good hand and give up all of your potential equity in the pot.
2. Call: Do this and you will face the same situation on the next street unless you hit your 4-outer.
3. Re-raise: If he has you beat, you will most likely lose your stack as any re-raie that you could make will essentially commit you to the hand.

As Diamond points out, this is the toughest spot in NL.

As for the given hand, I am only worried about QJ here, and no re-draw to the flush. If he had a set, he most likely would have raised the flop since it is pretty draw oriented. I think there is a good chance that you are still ahead here. What I would do would be to smooth call and then likely fire a blocker on the river regardless of what comes (ubless it is a truly ugly card like the Js). Hopefully, you can set the size of the bet for the river and get to showdown or if he raises you again, you can confidently fold.

Thanks guys. I called his bet and the river brought the 3Spade which is an ugly card in this hand. I checked and he checked behind and I took it down.

In retrospect I think I should have blocked on the river maybe, but I got lucky on this one when villain didn't have the guts to fire the last bullet.

I have no clue as to what he had thanks to prima's retarded 'muck losing hand option' HHs (as per common poker rules I think I should really get to see his hand here, since he was the last bettor?), but I'm guessing JT, or some sort of pair + draw makes sense.
