Reraising

Posted Mon Sep 18, 2006 6:02 pm GMT by Royal Flush
I'm new to the game of Texas Hold'em. The game seems easy enough to understand, but I have one question about reraising though. If a player reraises my bet, should I just assume that the player has the best hand, and I should just lay down my hand?

Depends on the texture of the board, the structure of the game (NL vs. FL), the limits you're playing and the aggressiveness of your opponent.

There's no tried and true rule here, nor for just about anything else in poker.

It just means he THINKS he has the best hand.

If you're holding any pocket pair I'd call.

Or that he wants you to think that he's got the best hand.

The question is way too vague to give anywhere near a satisfying answer.
