Currently playing tourney - chip leader & nervous |

I am playing the $6 rebuy and addon at party. I have 400k in chips and 2nd place has 270k. Down to 52 people. Total prize pool is $9,130 and $2200+ to first place . The only thing is.....
I am pretty nervous. I have never felt like this because with a stack like that, not making a final table is more than a disaster. Not getting top 3 is pretty upsetting as well. I guess its better than being the short stack, but still, damn, this is pressure!
I am a goalie in hockey that has played in division I final games in the fleet center and i felt more cool and comfortable there than I do at this table! lol
Tourney is #832603 on party poker and my name is Gor30 in case ur boared . Lets get that $2k

Like Herb Brooks said: Play your game.
Just try to relax and focus, you can do it!
I'm at work, otherwise I'd rail you. Good luck!

LOL gotta love the herb brooks quote!
I got 520K in chips - 1st place
2nd place has 402k
34 people left. 8)
Top 2 would be quite a nice payout
Hopefully I wont go run to the $10/20NL table if i win...lol JK

Haha thanks man. Havent been getting many cards lately and with the blinds are 8/16k, a lot of the people with 100-200k are starting to push bigtime. Im just trying to stay patient
EDIT:
Man, I love how much respect they give the chip leader! I am throwing 20k into 85k pots with 2nd pair and people are instantly. I have just increased 150k just from preflop raises and small bets at semi big pots!
EDIT 2:
LOL I had 77 and flop came KQ8 against 2 people with 100k. 1 bet, another called, and i hit the wrong button. On the turn another 7 came! lol
Uh oh, down to 450k because i called my 1010 against KK Big misstep. I was hoping AQ or AK....oh well, still in good position in 4th place.

Almost at the final table
EDIT: 2nd place after a pair A9 beat some other guys 22. He bet it after the flop after my 60k raise

Hey i thought there was deal making at the final table for party poker? I dont see anything there....???
EDIT: damn, lost 66 vs JJ. I was BB and like 90k to call...too bad. Should have known better too because that guy didnt play any hands the last hour pretty much...oh well, still doing good with 687K.
EDIT2:
Did you see 5 clubs on the board, one guy had A high flush, the other guy flips over QJ for the straight flush
Posted Tue Sep 19, 2006 8:58 pm GMT by Sharpy
there is no deal for rebuys qualifyers or shoot outs

Donked out with 77 vs. QQ. I was the button, raised to 120k, i got re-raised by the small blind all in and I thought he would have A high...big mistake. I played at the final table for about an hour and only 1 person went out...not any action at all. Damn, I really thought I was gonna get top 5 for a nice $400 payout. Oh well.
The thing that hurts is that it was the same guy who beat me with JJ vs 66...I guess he doesnt go all in with AK or AQ
