Tonight has been a joke! I just played 2 SnG tourneys at UB and got dumped out of both in the same way:
First one, I'm holding A,10 - I flop a pair of 10s, we go all-in and he flips pocket 8s. Turn is an 8.
Second one, I'm holding Q,10 - flop a pair of 10s. Turn comes Q, we go all-in and he flips a pair of 8s. River is an 8.
Both were perfect calls from me. To top all that off, I folded 7c6c to a raise pre-flop, flop came 9c8s8c, turn was 5c. In the second game, I have speed limit and flop comes 559 giving me quad 5s. I tickle the pot with a minimum raise, 4 people fold.
I am quitting poker.

that happens in the bizzaro world of online poker. just play micros or play money then. we all know you're not REALLY gonna quit, you're just frustrated by losing to lucky idiots who shouldn't even have been in the hand.

Last weekend was rough. I played 10 SNG: 5 firsts, 2 seconds, 1 third and 2 nadas.
But my ring games were BRUTAL. I lost at least 10 $40-70 pots on the turn or river after having a commanding lead after the flop. I caught one card on the river that let my flopped set turn into a boat that took down a flush for $100, but I was WAY behind in the luck department. Looking at my stats in 3/6 limit, 32% flops seen, 45% win if flop seen, 77% showdowns won, but I lost $200 in 4 hours. If you dont win the big ones, you just cant win!
I was happy to only lose $20 over the weekend-TY SNG gods!

If ever there were a bet I'd take, it's that. When I cashed out after that $340 win the other nite, I left $16.50 to hit a $5 and $10 SnG leaving me nada. I now have that nada thanx to those 2 horrible hands so if u see me online, it's cos some1 lent me money
I am taking a long poker break to concentrate on studying and BMX riding now that the summer is on the way. I will play again, be sure of that, just not for a little while. I will miss our table chats Puck so get your ass on MSN buddy and keep me informed of how u r getting on

I can top that. This weekend in a home game I have 4h7h. Someone raises $2 pre-flop. I fold. Flop comes 3h 5h 6h. I'd have flopped the straight flush. I don't recall what came out after because I had to get up and get a cold one. Two hands later, I'm holding 45s in BB. Flop is J 10 5 rainbow. The tightest player I've ever played in my life bets out first. She only bet .50 and if it had been anyone else betting or it had been online, I'd have called without thinking twice. With her actually betting out in early position I put her on at least a J A if not J 10. I fold. Turn and river are both 5's. That's right. I folded the quads. C'est la vie.

If I had a dollar for every time I've said or heard that........

OK, so you are serious....I rescind the bet.
I be sure to catch up w/you on MSN, and you can always lurk and badger me on UB if you like. Studying is a honorable priority, and have fun w/the BMX riding.
Later m8

On the verge of quitting myself after this one...
So I'm playing $2/4 NL and I'm dealt AA. I put in a small raise, someone else reraises $20 and everyone else folds, I reraise $64, he goes all in for $200, I call. He shows KK, unsurprisingly enough.
Flop: rag rag rag
Turn: rag
River... yep, you guessed it.
