Hey Guys! I haven't been playing too much poker lately. I have been busy with school and work and everything else going on. I have just started to play again lately.
This is 1/2 NL 6 max. I have been pretty aggressive the last few orbits. I have been picking up pots here and there. I have been raising consistently PF. Here is the hand.

I would like comments on all streets. How do you think I played the hand up until the river. Also, what do you think I should do on the river? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Im no expert on cash games, I do decent, but I think there is a definate possiblity that hes got a busted flush draw and taking a stab at this pot. I say this because he had no problem calling after the flop, had it checked after the turn when his flush card did not come up. On the river, he invested a lot of $ into this pot and he took a stab on a busted flush draw (or possibly straight as well.)
I just couldnt see if he had the K why he wouldnt try to drive out those drawing hands after the turn.
That is my $0.02

Tough call. I'd say its 50/50 he has a busted straight/flush draw or that he has you beat.
Only thing I don't like about your play is the check behind on the turn. I rather make a decent bet here, $10-15, and if you get called check the river, fold if he leads.

I agree with all of that. I'd call more than 50% of the time if I knew my opponent a little here but the rest of the time, I'd be pissed at myself for not knowing better.............
Tough one, so what happened?

1.) Buy in for full. Suited connectors are crappy hands with a 25% buy-in.
2.) Bet something on turn so you can get a free showdown on river.

Touche! However I have been trying out some new stuff lately. I have heard Barry Greenstein say multiple times that he prefers to buy in short because it is easier to play. I have been trying that out and seeing how that works.
Anywawy, I called on the river. My thought process was similar to a few of the previous posts. I was about 75% sure that he didn't have a K because he probably would have left out on either the flop or turn. So, on the river I put him on either a busted straight draw or flush draw. He ended up having 8 9 for the busted straight/flush draw.
Thanks to all who commented on this hand.

All great advice from the previous posters. It is hard to say right now if your ahead or behind. A call here I think is 50/50 at best.
