on first glance it seems that you are playing to many hands that give you a -EV

Im going to have to sound like a noob and ask what you mean exactly by a -EV. Also, in defense, I do like to play a lot of hands in good position. I am generally a winning player in cash games but I have trouble breaking into the money in tournaments. Also, the number of flops Ive seen may be inflated due to the fact that i like to play my cash games at shorthanded tables where there are 6 or less players. I find I make a good profit in that situation.

-EV = Negative Expected Value. Most hands are -EV.

EV example: Flip a coin w/ a friend at 1:1 odds, 1$ bet. On average, your expected value is $.50. Probability of winning x bet amount, i think.

So 1$(.5) = $.5

That's a really simple example but thought it could help illistrate the answer for you.

In terms of what 9T said, I'd like to agree/disagree.

Generally speaking, playing fewer hands, or more specifically the TAG ABC style is most profitable (to most people) especially when multitabling.

But on the other hand, a really good player can make more money playing LAG.

NEVER feel like a "noob" by asking a question. If you don't understand something, you can bet your bottom dollar somebody else feels the same.

Always ask the questions, it's up to you on whether you take the advice.
