OFAC

OK, my best friend used to work in the cash managment department of the local bank. She actually worked in the wire transfer section of this department.

Office of Foreign Assets Control.

Get used to hearing that.
This is what banks use to verify that funds are not coming from a blacklisted source. Very soon, every on-line site will be listed with OFAC, and banks will be required to report the transaction to the Justice Department, and refuse the transfer.

And it gets worse.
Any attempt to launder the money would be ineffective--put the money into a Canadian, bank, and then transfer the money to your US account, and flags will go up--where did that money come from originally?

A paper check is an unknown to her--she has no idea how thse are checked

So then what you do is, you have your buddy in Canada put the account in his name and do all the actual transfers. Then you have him mail you a box of money. :D
