This is the best letter I have seen so far from the Poker sites. Seems like they really want to fight.
Full Tilt Poker is here to stay!
As an online poker player, you have probably heard about the new legislation passed by the U.S. Congress earlier this week that attempts to prevent you from being able to transfer money to online gaming sites.
While this new law has prompted some sites to announce plans to abandon the U.S. market in coming days, we assure you that Full Tilt Poker will continue to provide all of its players - both inside and outside of the United States - with a full complement of real money ring games and tournaments for their enjoyment.
After consultation with numerous legal experts in this field, we want to make you aware of the following:
* Legal
The new U.S. legislation does not in any way attempt to criminalize the act of you playing online poker. By playing online at Full Tilt Poker, you are not breaking any U.S. Federal laws.
* Full Access
The passage of the new Internet Gaming law will not have any impact on your day-to-day experience at Full Tilt Poker. We will provide all of our players, everywhere in the world, with full access to all of our games and tournaments.
* Easy Deposits and Withdrawals
We will continue to provide our players with all of the safe, secure and convenient methods for transferring money to and from the site. In fact, in recent discussions with our payment processors, we have been assured that this new law will have no immediate impact on their day-to-day business. And as always, any monies that you have on deposit with Full Tilt Poker remain completely safe and secure.
Furthermore, we firmly believe that online poker is not encompassed by this new legislation. In any event, we will continue to lobby for an express carve-out for online poker and for your right to play a truly American game from the privacy of your own home and computer.
We are excited about the future here at Full Tilt Poker and in the coming weeks and months, we plan to roll out many new features designed to enhance your online poker experience.
We appreciate your loyalty to our site and, in turn, want you to know that we will remain loyal to our valued players in the United States and throughout the world.
We look forward to seeing you at the table.
Sincerely,
Full Tilt Poker
Did you know that participating in a poker forum can help you improve your own game? Be it by sharing experiences or simply asking for help, participation in a forum helps you focus and keep 'on topic' which will help you improve your game. You can learn from other players feedback and from their experiences. Why the THP poker forums? We offer one of the best managed texas holdem poker forums available, and the community within is far more friendly than those typicaly found on other sites. We've made a 'lurkers edition' of the poker forum available here on Holdem Poker Online, but we encourage all visitors to register and join in on the conversations on TexasHoldem-Poker.com

I'm remembering that episode of the Simpson’s where Mr. Burns made the canary the CEO so when he broke the law he wasn't liable.
I've added nothing to this thread of value.

I dont watch the simpsons, but i enjoyed the post.
I, as well, have added nothing of value to this post.
I like that full tilt has not over-reacted to this new law like party has. They waited it out, let the smoke clear a little, and made their players feel like they have things a little under control.

This is the ballsy response we want to see from all sites. So well done Tilt!
I do wonder how this will impact on team full tilt legally? Will we see Ivey, Juanda, Ferguson et al arrested at the next major tourney? Who knows? Only time will tell.
F*ck Party and their spineless approach to this. I really hope that if this ever turns around that Party (and others) never recover from turning their back on their US customers.

This is good news. About time someone stood up and said FU to the US Government. I particularly love how they say they don't believe the law applies to poker and that they will continue to pursue a specific exemption.
BTW, I don't currently play on FT. Are the games any good there (I play mostly $2-$4 NL and up)? Do they have good bonus plans? Do they offer rakeback? I would love to move my business there to support them if the above things are good.
Thanks,
Shorn

I think you'll find that the sites with most actively fighting players are the ones that will basically stick a middle finger up to the legislation.
Full Tilt: Ferguson, Lederer, Gordon, Bloch (I DEFINITELY want this guy on myside)
Pokerstars: Raymer, Greenstein
Doyle's Room: The Brunsons
Ultimate Bet: Duke, Esfandiari

I think making announcements like this could well propel FTP right to the top of the online poker tree.
FTP is already a really good site, it's well run, has good software and good game and tourney structures. The only thing it has really lacked up til this point is player numbers.
I wouldn't be surprised if that all changes soon.
Brace yourselves FTP players.

They offer $600 for your first deposit (If you deposit $600). Every other month or so they will offer a 50% re-deposit bonus up to $300 (Again, a $600 deposit).
They give good referral bonus... I signed up as an affilliate & get a kick back for players that sign up under me. So if you can sign up some friends, then that is cool too.
