Friday I played some 6/12 Holdem at Great Canadian Casino and did pretty well (up 250 after 3 1/2 hours), had a few great hands, had a couple painful losses as well.
A few hands that stand out from the session.
First hand at the table I get Ace 9 Suited (hearts), and the flop is Ace, King, Nine with 2 clubs, I did my best to bet and scare away people drawing to a flush but had no luck and a 3rd club came on the river and I lost.
The very next hand I get Ten, Queen offsuit and am lucky to see a rainbow flop of Jack, King, Ace, I dragged away a pretty large pot after another player and I went back and forth raising each other after the turn.
Pocket Aces (clubs/diamonds)... Awesome, 1 Raise preflop, I raise again to 18, the flop is 3 spades.. Not good for me, In the end another flop comes on the river and the other person who raised preflop (pocket queens) had the queen of spades to take the pot.
Pocket 6s, 1 Raise preflop so I decide to call, the flop is Ace, 6, 2 rainbow, So I thought I was pretty good, the turn brough some garbage, I bet, and get Raised and I decide to just call. The river brough nothing, and its just me and the preflop raiser left, He bets, I raise, he raises.. I pretty much figure im screwed here and he has pocket aces now so I just call and suprise suprise he does.. That sucked, lost quite a bit that hand.
The next hand after the 6s i get Pocket Queens and call a preflop raise.. the flop is all rags So i Bet. The turn is a queen to give me my trips, Ended up dragging that pot, lucked out because the person who raised preflop had pocket aces and i outdrew him.
Pocket kings.. the flop gave me a trips with 2 diamonds on the board, a 3rd diamond came on the the turn, but the river paired 9s on the board to give me my fullhouse.
Had another big hand with pocket 7s flopping trips which was nice. And another hand with Ace, Ten suited flopping Ten,Ten,X .
All in all it was a great day, Got some amazing cards.. Im really happy with the outcome considering it was just my 2nd time ever playing in a live casino.
