I am glad the Govt is finally taking a step to eliminate the dangerous practice of internet gambling.

We need many, many more laws to protect people from themselves.

Hopefully there wil soon be legislation to prevent people buying fishing equipment. I don't know how many marriage break-up's, home reposessions and even suicides this self destructive practice has caused...

But I bet it's a LOT!

It is about time someone tried to save me from myself!!

I have been really worried about my life since I started to play poker online.

I am glad that I pay taxes so that they can use that money to tell me how to live my life.

Yeah we really need more laws to take away even more freedoms... Rolling Eyes. It's not bad enough they are taking away internet poker. What next? Lets try a new approach, less laws and more self responsibility. Make Peter responsible for losing all his money by making him starve or be homeless. If he has kids then take his kids away because he must not love them or care about them if he keeps up with stupid behaviour. Gambling isn't a disease...it's a choice.

All great points but we all need to remember that this law was written and passed by people who, for example, write emails to their "gay" friends and don't think they'll be found out.

They are stupid, absolutely and completely stupid.

Nope, but would I be going out on a limb in guessing he supported it? He didn't vote on it either...probably becuase he was too busy erasing emails from his hard drive.

My point was simply that I am tired of being told what is moral and immoral by a bunch of pedophiles, liars and outright thiefs and Foley is just the just the latest in a long, long run of sordid behavior by our elected officials.
