Running into big hands

I tend to run into bigger hands preflop -flop.

I feel like i cant do much about it as i run into them so early, like these 4 occaisoins on monday..

After i was down to 4.50 with 25/50 blinds, i picked up QQ and moved all in. I then ran into AK suited and he hit the flush.

Then, i raise to 2 bucks with pocket jacks and a loose guy calls (typically would call something like that with cards like A 8). All low cards on the flop, nothing that would scare me besides trips. I believe i bet first, he call pushes me all in for my last 3 bucks or so, i dont know why i called. I had no real thought behind it besides "JJ should be good". I didnt think that he just had over cards, or he always likes to think that i bluff. If i did i probably would have called, but i still ran into pocket Kings.

Finally, kinda stupidly, i was dealt 99, and a fairly tight player raise 2.50, which is unusually high for him. Im not sure what i thought, but i called because it was the "right thing to do logically". Although i dont think i made a conscious effort to read him.

K 8 10 comes out and he checks. I push him all in for his like 2 bucks, and he had pocket jacks and i lose.

On the turn and after im ok, as i am pretty good on folding a losing hand, its just i lose big on preflop and flop.

I feel like im playing very smart poker but it has not been working last two months or so. I havent had that big rake in for a while. I dont believe in the whole 4 months of bad luck thing, but it sure feels like it. I limp in quite a bit if im in the right situation waiting to get lucky, if i dont, i get out cheap and wait for a big hand. Then I get great hands but they get outdrawn or they run into bigger hands.

Im probably on tilt, but i dont believe it as i feel like im on tilt with great cards, and its not like im making bad calls on the river or anything, its all preflop and on the flop.

Can anyone give me a little help?

The way I understand you, and forgive me if I misinterrpret what you are saying, you seem to be playing short stacked in cash games and then having problems with losing a lot on the flop/preflop.

This will tend to happen a lot when you are short because you are either going to move in preflop or you are pot committed on the flop.

This means that you are forced to just "hope" your hands hold up - and without being able to react to the flop. I recommend always having the max buyin available. Poker is about reacting - either to the board or to your opponents. If you don't have enough chips to react then you are more or less gambling.

My approach is to see a lot of flops cheaply and then react on the flop, usually by betting. Smile Generally speaking good players gain their advantage from post flop play, so if you cannot make various types of plays on the flop due to being short on chips - get more chips, or expect to lose a lot.
