no cash

Ok, I did a tournament tonight at local casino, £20 rebuy. I spent 2 rebuys when I called 2 all ins with Ah Jh, and was against 77 and AA. Then lost another when I had 10s 5s in late, limped, flop came 10 10 K, someone just shoved all in , I called my 2k stack and he had Ac10c. Then after that I recuperated and built my stack from good post flop play up to around 8,600 by the break.
Returned , and got it further up with A-K when a raise and 2 calls , I pushed all in and everyone folded, nice to win uncontested. I got moved and had like 13,000 when blinds were like 1,200. I won a fair few pots pre flop , stealing, but still was sitting only around 15,000 as my blinds too were getting stolen or a ss would push.
I finally busted out when I found A-J in ep ish, and pushed 14,500 in with bb 2,000. Sb decided to take a stand finally and called with 9-9 and I couldn't improve.
I am still content though even though I didn't cash as I had very few hands to play with (best hand was 9-9 and someone had K-K), and still outlasted most of the field.(25th/80 I think). If I win that pot , I am sure I am finalling as 30,000 chips I could have built almost risk free till the final , and who knows maybe I would have got a hand too.
Overall ,good comp, good fun...ok no money, but still :D .

Is that where you steal from the rich and give to your bankroll?

something like that Mastershake.

Its good card room Geno imo. I mean theres a no limit or pot limit hold em tournament nearly everynight except saturdays, I haven't experienced other gala casinos but I would reccomend this card room if you were ever close by.

Every April I go to Nottingham for 4 days to audit one of our largest clients and I always get to stay in a nice hotel with a decent expense account so I think I will check it out next time I am up there :D

I don't think having "poker losses" on your expense sheet will go over very well. Laughing
