Got to Vegas at the end of a very long between-jobs road trip. Quite tired, so I didn't play much.
Stayed at Imperial Palace. Night I got there I just wanted to have a couple beers, so went to their $2/$4 table. Poor guys never knew what hit them. I think I was just tired enough to be more aggressive than usual. Even though my AA was cracked, and neither big slick came through, I was able to steal and catch with other cards.
Anyway, a table of pretty inexperienced players, it was pretty easy. +$103 in 2.5 hours. In terms of a room, it was really nothing special. In the front of the casino, only a half-wall separating the poker room from the machines and whatnot. Not a good beer selection either. Good service though. Not sure if she only watched the poker room (only two tables in action).
The next day, went to Caesar's for a little bit around lunchtime. Played about an hour and a half, +$38 at $3/$6. A couple decent players, a few call-to-the-river-with-any-pair types. Cold cards, but caught a nice pot to get ahead when the guy on my left called to the river with A9 off and rivered an Ace to my slowplayed trips.
A nice room, down a short hall from the sports book. Comfy chairs. Seemed like good service.
Wasn't feeling well later in the day (Dave and UAU were right about IP's food), so just kind of wandered. Walked by John D'Agostino in Bellagio (on his cell), and said hi to Men Nyguen. He seemed real nice, stopped for a second, shook my hand, said it was nice to meet me.
Recognized a couple other people who I don't know the names of playing in the $5K event going on.
Anyway, the real highlight of the trip was Yosemite. But that's another forum.
