uh oh... what are we to do now?

Posted Thu Oct 19, 2006 2:25 pm GMT by supafrey
That policy doesn't seem very definitive from a legal standpoint. It's basically another wait-and-see paper, no?

Posted Thu Oct 19, 2006 2:52 pm GMT by ORGrinder
pretty much... though slightly more concrete insomuch as they say they WILL comply. i guess it's just a matter of what they interpret "comply" to be. regardless... that'll surely mean no more transfers for us folks to/from poker sites.

Something is wrong with this country & it feels so powerless to not know how to fix it.

name 3 things wrong with Tuvalu.

Posted Thu Oct 19, 2006 8:30 pm GMT by ORGrinder
1) it's called Tuvalua
2) hardly no one cares to live there (second-least populated independent country on the globe)
3) it's ruled under a monarchy

calmer, gentler eh? walks like a duck, quacks like a duck...

Posted Thu Oct 19, 2006 8:46 pm GMT by mindgame
Don't be fooled. Tuvalua is actually a wholly owned subsidiary of TrueValue, an American hardware giant. The corporation bought a small island east of Java, filed the necessary documents to have it established as a independent monarchy under the sole control of the CEO's imperious mistress, ex-stripper and cocktail waitress LaChantelle Du BwahH, and subsquently had the property towed to an undisclosed location.

Current plans, only whispered in the boardroom and harldy more than rumors at the moment, call for the development of nuclear devices using only hand tools available at TV retail outlets and fueled by discarded radium thought to be slowly dying on the faces of nightglow watches in landfills across the country but clandestinely harvested by jawahs flying cloaked intergalactic garbage scows while NORAD spooks were watching Monday Night Football.

More on this later, but there's bigger money in dirty bombs than dirty dancing, says LaChantelle.

Go Bears.

1. Their name is based on years of culture and history. You racist.
2. It's peaceful!
3. Seem better than your so-called elected democracy right now, no?

Sorry you're gonna haveta try harder. ^_^

Also, they own the .tv domain. How awesome is that.

1) damn... you caught me.
2) so?
3) no.

if you're going to try and hide your ignorance behind attempted wit... you're going to have to try much harder son.

p.s. tuvalu actually means "eight standing together" in reference to 8 of the 9 islands which were initially inhabited prior to spanish discovery you idiot.

First off, I sadly do know far too much about Tuvalu, which is where the name dropping came from. (I represented them in the general assembly for a mock U.N.)

Secondly, you googled that. Or did you wiki?

There is only two things wrong with this country...one our damn government who thinks we can't look out after ourselves or protect our own best interest. Empirlistic bastards better keep an eye open though. History has shown us that EVERY empire falls sooner or later.

Second thing wrong with us is our neighbors to the North, damn Canadians. They steal our baseball and football and then they have the audacity to give us Supa and his mini me counter part, Leafs... Wink Laughing.

And Celine Dione to sully up our beautiful Las Vegas. That town was pure and wholesome before she showed up. Laughing

Why bicker over countries. Mine is the best country in the world. And if you don't believe me or think I'm joking, then look it up. :D

This is sad but true true, things will not be perfect untill we beat Sweden in hockey...which honestly speaking doesn't look like it will happen this millenium. Sad

Okay, for my whole lifetime I have failed to comprehend this. How in God's name can Canada not field the best hockey team in the world when--and come on, it's not even close--they have the best players in the world?

It made some sense when CCCP took the best players on the frozen half the biggest continent, put them in the army, called them amatuers, and had them play against each other 12 months a year and we wouldn't Canadian kids older than 18 play in the Olympics. But NOW???

wtf????

Holy Thread creep Batman!

Posted Mon Oct 23, 2006 7:24 pm GMT by mindgame
You live in EAGLE RIVER?????

On Victoria Island????

I think that's one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen. Tell me who will take me salmon fishing for less than $150 an hour and make my day.

(Yeah, we have some horrible threadcreep here, but that's a still a serious request on fishing for silvers.)

Posted Mon Oct 23, 2006 9:01 pm GMT by supafrey
You don't know much about hockey do you.

Sorry, just saw this from you. I actually live in Alaska and this Eagle River is just outside Anchorage. Silver fishing is still outstanding in the fall though.

That's okay. I've got two boys in Juneau and they enjoy getting those King crab. You guys are all starved for casinos, though, and with all the new pipeline repair money you could make a fortune in a nice 10/20 game.

Assuming of course that I could play this game well enough to actually win once in a while. Embarassed
