Low sample size so far ... ~4.5K hands, but I think the basic trends wont change by a terrible amount. I separated hands out into categories.
Category Win % Net Won
3Straights 21.56 17.71
3Suited 27.6 170.57
Big Split pair 59.83 271.64
Big wired pair 53.06 95.16
Rolled 92.31 147.40
Three high crds 36.09 99.34
Allright lets talk ... first the rolled is a little off because I just hand two big rolled hands at 2/4, so that number is bloated.
Second, notice that not only do 3 flushes win more often than 3 straights, but they win more. I'm not the best at playing 3 straights, but I guarantee you this is a trend for all stud players, you may even see a decent amount of winning stud players who lose money with 3straights.
Third, big money comes from big pairs ... big cards win at all forms of poker and this shows it. However, 60% winrate shows that they are not golden, and they need to be tossed on the later streets sometimes.
Fourth, don't undervalue 3 big cards. I play pretty TAGish on 3rd street, so I fold hands like 7 8 10 but I RAISE with A J Q, etc. You will steal pots more often than you think with those, and they are pretty easy to fold once you're beat ... a lot easier to fold than big pairs.
